Deductible
|
$25 per single or family, per year
Applies to all eligible expenses, with the exception of out-of-country.
|
Deductible applies to prescription drugs only and the amount is equal to the Pharmacist’s dispensing fee.
Dispensing fee is the Pharmacist’s cost to fill a prescription. It is up to each Pharmacy to determine this amount, and it can range from $4 – 13.
When Sun Life calculates your reimbursement, they will remove the dispensing fee from the “eligible amount” and apply the percentage (85% for PharmaCare drugs and 70% for non-PharmaCare drugs).
While it is more economical for you to purchase your prescriptions at a Pharmacy with lower dispensing fees, the choice is up to you.
