Job Skills Training Program:

JSTP (http://www.hr.ubc.ca/learning-development/funding/cupe-2950/) These funds are available for members to enhance their opportunity for promotion and transfer at UBC and must, in some capacity, be work-related.

A maximum of $1,000.00 is allocated per fiscal year per member.  This is not transferable to a member’s partner or dependent.

Members on the Recall List due to layoff or technological change have access to additional funding to improve skills or learn new ones.

These funds can be used for UBC and non-UBC courses both on and off campus. Staff members may use the JSTP to offset the cost of UBC undergrad programs when the program is associated with a UBC career path ( guideline 4.5.10). Students are not covered.
