Tuition Waivers

Available once a member, full-time or part-time (working more than 17.5 hours per week), has completed their probation period (see Article 21.01).

Twelve credits are allocated in each 12-month period (beginning the first day of a class).  Credits are transferable to a partner or a dependent.  The twelve credits can be used only for UBC undergraduate courses and non-credit courses offered through Extended Learning, approved Sauder Continuing Business Studies courses, and any other approved diploma or certificate program.   

These credits are not carried over from year to year.

Employees who are “Temporary” (see Article 3.05) or “Sessional” (see Article 3.03) are not eligible for this benefit.
